The force behind ALGOVITAL’s creation more than 29 years ago, is the idea of calling the deep forces which are contained in nature to heal human beings.
In 1980 France, in phase of the ecological emergence and all of the movements in favor of nature, was created the laboratory ALGOVITAL. A pioneer with the association of using trace elements and essential oils where their synergy multiplies its active power, the ALGOVITAL brand has been the precursor for the concept of customized health and beauty products.
ALGOVITAL holds essential oils and vegetable oils which are 100% pure, natural, and organic from botanical and biochemical origins.

ALGOVITAL’S HISTORY
ALGO comes from the Greek word “Algi” meaning “pain;” since the start the theme had begun : “pain relief.” Against the norm, from the strong global conception of the human and of nature, it was the enthusiasm of a team of doctors from the Oxford Hospital of Cannes and their recognition for their passion with essential oils of plants, which proposed other ways of healing involving the cultural association of medicinal plants which hold therapeutic properties.
This engagement has been maintained with consistency until this day. Today, more than ever, ALGOVITAL demonstrates the truth to these choices. More and more each day, many professionals utilize manual therapy in line with medical treatment and with the use of a natural cosmetic product, which have real affinity for the skin.
In May 2008, Christophe Gilles, engineer and MBA graduate, took over as head of ALGOVITAL Laboratory. As he has been following the company’s evolution, Christophe holds a confident attitude and outlook on the brand of the company where he understands its potential, and does recognize that there are many obstacles in its path. The organization does attract him with force and coherence which reflect his values.

Since the creation of ALGOVITAL, the economic environment where the company has evolved has all changed. In the last several years, the request by the consumer in using natural and organic products has exploded : ALGOVITAL Laboratory is ECOCERT certified and has responded to this consumer need.

ALGOVITAL INNOVATION
ALGOVITAL Laboratory holds its own service of Research and Development in Carpentras, France. With the formulation of mixtures of oils, lotions, gels, creams, and balms, the site is expanding its roots and by being the source of projects and of innovation. “Straight away we need to double our efforts to create new products in areas where we do not cover as of yet,” estimates Christophe Gilles. The product line responds to the needs of the consumer by bringing ALGOVITAL’s specific response, with the ethics of care and the sense of quality.
What brings force to ALGOVITAL is its philosophy which has given rise to its creation, with a conception of well-being and health which calls for deep relations between human beings and nature, and is the will to preserve nature which is the substrate of our lives and of our health.
